Wesley Spurlock
Finance Committee, Chairman
Wesley Spurlock, a farmer in Stratford, Texas, serves on the Corn Board of the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA), a grower-led trade association with offices in St. Louis and Washington.
Spurlock farms 9,600 acres of irrigated corn, cotton, wheat and grain sorghum in the upper Texas panhandle, where he also runs a harvesting and spray company.
On the national level, Spurlock serves on the NCGA Finance Committee and as the Corn Board liaison to the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. He previously served on NCGA’s Production Stewardship Action Team, its Mycotoxin Task Force and as board liaison to the National Chicken Council.
Spurlock has also served as a director for the Texas Corn Producers Association.
Founded in 1957, the National Corn Growers Association represents approximately 35,000 dues-paying corn growers and the interests of more than 300,000 farmers who contribute through corn checkoff programs in their states. NCGA and its 48 affiliated state associations and checkoff organizations work together to help protect and advance corn growers’ interests.
