Clark Gerstacker
Board Liaison to RBDAT Team
Clark Gerstacker, of Midland, Mich., serves as a member of the Corn Board of the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA), a farmer-led trade association with offices in St. Louis and Washington.
Gerstacker and his brother farm 1,500 acres of corn, soybeans, sugar beets and dry edible beans on a centennial farm that has been in the family for 115 years.
On the national level, Gerstacker serves as Corn Board liaison to NCGA’s Research and Business Development Action Team and as the organization’s representative to the Keystone Sustainability Initiative. Previously, he has served as chairman of the Association Relations Committee, as liaison to the NCGA Joint Trade Policy A-Team, as liaison to the Ethanol Committee, as chairman of NCGA’s Association Relations Committee and as a member of the Finance Committee. Gerstacker has also chaired NCGA’s Research and Business Development Action Team and was a member of the Structure Review Committee.
On the state level, Gerstacker has served as secretary, treasurer, vice president, president and chairman of the Michigan Corn Growers Association. He received a bachelor’s degree in materials and logistics management from Michigan State University.
Clark and his wife, Jennifer, have two children, Peyton and Hudson.
Founded in 1957, the National Corn Growers Association represents approximately 35,000 dues-paying corn growers and the interests of more than 300,000 farmers who contribute through corn checkoff programs in their states. NCGA and its 48 affiliated state associations and checkoff organizations work together to help protect and advance corn growers’ interests.
