Board Liaison to the Ethanol Committee

Mike Geske, of Matthews, Mo., serves as a member of the Corn Board of the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA), a farmer-led trade association with offices in St. Louis and Washington.

 

Geske and his son farm 2,100 acres of corn, cotton, rice, soybeans and occasionally wheat.

 

At the national level, Geske serves as the Corn Board’s liaison to NCGA’s Ethanol Committee, to the National Pork Producers Council and to the Syngenta Advisory Council for Enogen. He has served board liaison to the Trade Policy and Biotechnology Action Team, as chairman of the NCGA Public Policy Action Team and vice chairman of the NCGA Biotechnology Working Group.

 

Geske is a past president of the Missouri Corn Growers Association. In addition, he is a member of the board of directors of the Environmental Resources Coalition and has served as the vice chairman of the Missouri Farm Bureau’s State Farm PAC and chairman of the Missouri Farm Bureau Cotton Committee, as well as the Missouri Governor's Renewable Fuels Commission.

 

Founded in 1957, the National Corn Growers Association represents approximately 35,000 dues-paying corn growers and the interests of more than 300,000 farmers who contribute through corn checkoff programs in their states. NCGA and its 48 affiliated state associations and checkoff organizations work together to help protect and advance corn growers’ interests.
