Scholarship Program
NCGA ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IN AGRICULTURE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The National Corn Growers Association and chemical company BASF Corporation will again award five $1,000 scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in an agriculture-related field.
Applicants for the NCGA Academic Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship Program must be entering at least their second undergraduate year or any year of graduate study, and they or a parent or legal guardian must be an NCGA member. Scholarship applications must be postmarked on or before December 9, 2011.
Scholarship recipients will be selected in early 2012. Recipients and a parent or guardian will enjoy travel and lodging to attend a portion of the 2011 Commodity Classic in Tampa, FL, to be recognized at the NCGA Banquet and have the opportunity to learn more about modern agriculture.
This is the fourth year for the partnership between BASF and NCGA.

1. Scholarships are for one year; previous winners may not reapply.
2. Scholarships may be used to offset tuition, school supplies, or student housing.
3. Funds will be issued directly to student in February/March 2012.
4. Scholarships awarded for 2012-2013 school year.
Applicant/Application Requirements
1. Applicant must be entering at least his or her second undergraduate year at an accredited junior college, college or university.
2. Applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in an agricultural, agribusiness, or an ag vocation field.
3. Applicant must be an NCGA member or son/daughter of an NCGA member.
4. Employees and the families of employees of any division of BASF or their subsidiaries or the NCGA are not eligible for the scholarship.
5. Applications must be postmarked December 9, 2011.
